Aim for the head...

ree

So the other day when I was watching some book review videos I saw a girl who was rating the books on a scale on 1-5. I thought wow that's awesome I think I'll start doing that so we are going to start that today! Yay for something new!!! So I have to be honest here this book was 342 pages and I only got to page 200 when I finally decided to give up on it. I have always been the person who when they start something they finish no matter what; but I just couldn't get through this one. Normally a 300+ page book takes me 1-3 days depending on how busy I am and I was about a week into trying to get through this book.....so lets not and review what I read so far. This will be a very short review since I didn't enjoy or finish this book.

No spoilers here

So lets get right down to it I would give this book a 2/5 I think that is being rather generous considering I didn't even finish it. The writing style was interesting and something new, it was in the perspective of a journalist. There was absolutely NO character development and I didn't think that was something I liked so much but I do and not having it really changed the reading for me. Honestly I felt lost throughout what I was reading they never went in depth with what the disease was or how it started really. They talked about a bite and that was it that's how it got passed but why???

I didn't feel like a story was being told just different people explaining their experiences which is not my glass of wine, but maybe it is someone else's. I did like about two chapters in this book which is sad because I really enjoyed the movie and expected the book to be a little based off the book. You will probably never hear me say this again but....I actually enjoyed the movie wayyyy better than this book. They are definitely very different which happens sometimes, but Hollywood really blew this one out of the water the book was awful. I felt lost the entire time and had no idea what was happening or where I was I found it too confusing and hard to follow.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend this book at all, but if a journalist point of view interests you take a gander at this one.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this book if you've read it and what you thought because I honestly couldn't finish it. Let's start a conversation!!!

Thank you so much for reading my blog review and as always I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!!! Until next week, stay reading, Selena Torres.

I read the Ender's Game series and it was so good. When I heard there was going to be a movie I was over the moon. Then... I watched the movie... That was my first taste of book to movie disappointment. Have you read Enders Game? I feel like you would like it!
